Flower Pot Dessert

EASY

The Flower Pot Dessert has been around forever, and that’s what makes it so fun—you can truly make it your own. I’ve seen it with pound cake, hot fudge, and classic vanilla, but my mom’s version is the one I love most: butter pecan ice cream, crushed Heath bar, and Oreo crumbs. After striking out at three grocery stores, I swapped in coffee ice cream... and honestly? It might be even better. Perfect for a playful spring dessert or Mother’s Day surprise!

Ingredients:

Note: The recipe below is enough for 2-3 small flower pots. Scale ingredients accordingly

  • 1 5.2 OZ Box of Oreo Cookies (about 1 sleeve or 12ish cookies) pulsed in food processor

  • 3 Heath or Skor bars, chopped

  • 1 14oz container of softened coffee ice cream

  • 2 cookies such as shortbread or Oreo (for filing the hole at the bottom of flower pot)

  • 2 sprigs of mint

Instructions
  • Drop a cookie at the bottom of the flower pot to cover the hole

  • Pack a thick layer of Oreo crumbs, about 1/4 of the way to the top

  • Add a layer of coffee ice cream, smooth with a wet spoon

  • Add a layer of the heath bar crumbs

  • Top with more ice cream, smoothing with the back of a spoon

  • Top with the remaining Oreo crumbs

  • Option to place a sprig of mint in the center

  • freeze for at least 2 hours or until solid
